Real estate investment banking firm launches foundation.
(Greensboro, NC) June 2, 2009 – Wharton Gladden & Company, LLC, a private real estate investment banking group, announces today the creation of the Wharton Gladden Foundation to support local charities in the Piedmont Triad that provide services to those suffering from homelessness, substance abuse, and domestic violence. The firm sponsored a fundraiser for the foundation on May 30 at the Piedmont Club – Algenon Cash's Charity Roast.
Over 100 local business owners and executives attended the event and supported the foundation through monetary donations. These monies will be directed to local charities in the Triad to assist with their programming needs during a down economy. Wharton Gladden & Company, LLC committed to donating a percentage of annual profits to help fund the foundation and its ongoing efforts to improve the local communities.
