Names new managing director.
Greensboro, N.C. (September 12, 2006) – Franklin J. Gladden, founding partner of Wharton Gladden & Company, LLC, announced today that Algenon L. Cash has been named managing director. Cash will be responsible for the daily operations for the Raleigh and Greensboro offices. He will act as a liaison between operations and the operating committee. In addition, Cash will be responsible for new business development for the capital markets group.

Prior to joining Wharton Gladden & Company, Cash served with Citigroup Private Banking and UBS Global Asset Management. Cash has been involved with more than $1 billion in whole loan transactions which has enabled him to build relationships with a wide range of institutional investors.

Cash began his career with Wharton Gladden & Company as an asset manager. In this role, he was responsible for advising clients on the buy/sell side of cash flow producing investment vehicles such as residential and commercial mortgage loans, auto loans, performing credit card and student loan accounts and defaulted credit card paper.
